What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help remember preferences, keep sessions or measure usage.

Cookies we use

• Technical / necessary: essential for the site to work (e.g. remembering your consent on this device via browser local storage).
• Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand site usage in aggregate. They are only loaded after your explicit consent, and we apply Google Consent Mode v2 (without your permission, no analytics or advertising cookies are set).

How to manage them

You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the banner shown when you enter the site; your choice is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page, which reopens the banner. If you reject cookies or withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies (`_ga` and `_ga_*`) and the visit identifier (`cloris-visitor-key`) from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Site analytics

For site analytics we store a random identifier in your browser's local storage (`localStorage`, key `cloris-visitor-key`). It is not a cookie strictly speaking and does not contain your name or contact details, but it tells your browser apart (it is pseudonymous data): it only helps us avoid counting the same visit twice. We only activate it if you accept the cookie banner, and we delete it if you reject cookies or withdraw your consent.
